Positive Cases Exceed 300,000 - NOCPCO

As of this morning (29), a total of 1,940 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 21 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,919 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 596 from Colombo District, 382 from Kalutara District, 112 from Jaffna District and 819 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (19), a total of 301,831 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 192,173 were reported after the New Year.

By Thursday (29) morning (past 24 hours), 1,499 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 27 July, 63 more deaths have been reported including 35 males and 28 females.

As of Thursday (29), 3,402 persons in 67 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Thursday (29) morning, 697 persons have left 18 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.
