As a segment of the routine security preparedness exercises of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), Police personnel and troops on Monday (3) took part in a mock demonstration, related to control of mobs in an emergency situation.
Following initiatives of Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ – W, the mock arrangement was attended by a large group of Police personnel and troops serving the SFHQ-W.
Riot control is an internal security measure launched to quell sudden uprisings and protests using minimum force.
