Sri Lanka Police Headquarters on Monday (31) presented a Guard of Honour to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake upon his first formal visit to the place after his assumption of duties.
At the entrance to the Police Headquarters in Fort, he was welcomed and conducted to receive the Guard of Honour, presented by members of the Special Task Force (STF) of the Police. The Commander inspected it and received the salute from a special dais.
Cordial interactions with the Inspector General of the Police, Mr N.K Illangakoon culminated with exchange of mementoes as symbols of memory. The visiting Commander signed the VIP book at the IGP office and appreciated their hospitality.
A little later, the IGP as a formal courtesy introduced the day’s Chief Guest to his senior most officers who were present there.
