Vavuniya-based 25 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) officers and soldiers serving the 211 Brigade conducted a free distribution of dinner to thousands of pilgrims proceeding to Anuradhapura for religious observances on account of Poson commemoration.
The Dansela, which provided dinner beginning around 5.00 p.m. went on till late into the night due to the popular demand. Brigadier P.M.S.A Pallemulla, 211 Brigade Commander, has given his blessings to the project.
