The Sri Lanka Electricity Board (CEB), fulfilling a long - felt need of the Security Forces as well as the public using Muhamalai Entry/Exit point commenced an uninterrupted supply of electricity to this important checkpoint effective from 23 august 2004.
The new Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna, Major General Sunil Tennekoon graced the brief inaugural ceremony that marked this important event at the Entry/Exit point in the company of Senior Officers, CEB Deputy General Manager for Jaffna, Electricity Engineers at Chavakachchceri and Jaffna CEB and several other invitees.
Earlier, this Entry/Exit point received electricity only during restricted hours.
