PCR Tests So Far Done Exceed 269,483-NOCPCO

As of this morning (22), 12 persons who arrived from overseas were confirmed positive to COVID-19. They are from UAE (01) at Wellawatte QC, India (02) at Hotel Fairway Sunset Hotel QC, Maldives (08) at Damminna and Pitipana QCs and Saudi Arabia (01) at Tangalle Suriya Resort Hotel QC, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (22), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 649.

The flight EY 294 from Abu Dhabi with 290 passengers has arrived and the flight UL 1160 from India with passengers is expected in Colombo, this afternoon. All of them were to be referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.

Within the day (22), 18 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 03 persons were from Hotel Jetwing Blue QC, 01 from Beacon Beach Hotel QC, 11 from Nipuna Boossa QC and 03 more persons from Kalpitiya Ruwala QC.

Likewise, 43,849 individuals by this morning (22) have been sent back home after quarantining. 6,626 persons in 66 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (21), 1470 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 269,483.

Meanwhile, 12 positive COVID-19 cases after full recovery left hospitals early this morning (22). Of them, four (04) were expatriates in quarantine and the rest (08) were detainees from the Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicts at Kandakadu.

By 6.00 this morning (22), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 646. Of them, 03 infected individuals are still under treatment.

Since no positive cases have been reported from society other than among those arriving from overseas, all Sri Lankans are urged to continue their health practices and help prevention of its transmission as per instructions given by health authorities. (Ends) Nike Sneakers Store | Air Jordan
