The Passing Out Parade of the Women Recruit Training Course Number - 81, was held on 22 March 2024 at the 6 Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Parade Ground.
The course was conducted at the Recruit Training Centre, Sri Lanka Artillery from 11 September 2023 to 22 March 2024. Major General S.W.M. Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces - West, graced the occasion as the chief guest. A total of 102 female recruit soldiers participated in the parade. Recruit K.K. Jayaratne of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, earned the title of Best Female Soldier. Recruit N.G.S.S. Wijesinghe of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps was recognized with the Best Physical Fitness Award, while Recruit G.K.D. Sewwandi of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps stood out as the recipient of the Best Marksman Award.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
