Pakistan's Army Chief Interacts with Undergrads at Sapugaskanda DSCSC

The visiting Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, as part of the day’s itinerary Tuesday (16) afternoon called at Sapugaskanda Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) where Army Officers are trained for graduate studies.

On arrival at the DSCSC, General Qamar Javed Bajwa was warmly received by Major General Ruwan Kulatunga, Commandant, DSCSC and conducted to the Officers’ Mess before commencement of the day’s programme.

After a brief welcome address delivered by the Commandant, DSCSC, a comprehensive briefing on the DSCSC roles, its mandate as well as its training modules that have been so far awarded to Pakistan armed Officers at the DSCSC was presented to the visiting Army Chief.

During his interaction with a cross-section of student officers, he recalled friendly relations that exist between Sri Lanka and Pakistan for generations and uninterrupted conduct of Sri Lanka Army training programmes for Pakistan military Officers.

Prior to his exit from the DSCSC, the Commandant Major General Ruwan Kulatunga awarded a special memento to the visiting Pakistan's Army Chief as a token of goodwill and appreciation of his visit to the DSCSC.

The visiting Pakistan COAS left his signature with compliments in the DSCSC Visitors' Book as a formality before his exit from the place.
