Pakistan High Commission’s Defence Attaché Conveys His Chief's Congrats on Army Support for Elections

Colonel Sajjad Ali, Defence Attaché at Pakistan High Commission in Colombo this afternoon (28) paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva at the Army Headquarters.

During the cordial meeting, the visiting Defence Attaché conveyed his Chief of Army Staff's appreciation and congratulation for the Sri Lanka Army's excellent contribution and the support given for smooth and peaceful conduct of the most recent Presidential Election in an exemplary manner.

Both of them also exchanged views on general matters of concern and prevailing cooperation between both countries and military establishments. Appreciative of his visit to the Army Headquarters, Lieutenant General Silva awarded a memento to the visiting diplomat. The gesture was reciprocated.
