High Commissioner of the High Commission of Pakistan, His Excellency, Major General (Retd) Muhammad Saad Khattak who recently paid a courtesy call on the Commander, Security Forces-Kilinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe sponsored the distribution of 150 dry ration packs among needy families in Kilinochchi area on Tuesday (29).
To assist the needy people in Kilinochchi, the General Officer Commanding, 57 Division Major General Priyantha Jayawardana with his troops organized the distribution of those dry ration packs, each worth about Rs 3000/= inside the ‘Nelum Piyasa’ Auditorium. Each pack contained rice, dhal, cereals, milk powder, spices, etc.
Symbolically, 30 packs were distributed by the day's Chief Guest, High Commissioner of Pakistan on the occasion.
