The High Commissioner for Pakistan in Sri Lanka H.E. Major General (Retd) Syed Shakeel Hussain, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva at the Army Headquarters on Monday (01) afternoon.
The visiting envoy afterwards had a cordial exchange of views with the Commander of the Army on matters of mutual interest.
Matters of bilateral importance were also taken up during the discussions ensued.
Exchange of mementos as symbols of goodwill and understanding culminated the day’s cordial meeting at the Commander’s office.
Colonel Mohammed Rajil Irshad Khan, Defence Attaché at Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka also attended the meeting.
