Strengthening bilateral understanding and exchange of knowledge on logistics, Brigadier Muhammad Azim Iqbal, Commandant, Army School of Logistics in Pakistan arrived at the Army Headquarters this morning (17) in order to pay a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva before he sets out his rest of the agenda in Sri Lanka.
Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva after welcoming him to his office at the Army Headquarters had a cordial exchange of views on logistic matters of relevance to both organizations.
During the foreign military officer’s 1-week long stay in Sri Lanka, he’s scheduled to visit the Army School of Logistics in Trincomalee, Kandy, Diyathalawa, Nuwara-Eliya and Galle.
Friday’s brief meeting culminated with exchange of mementos.
Major General E.M.M. Ambanpola, Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General R.M.J.A. Rathnayake, Commander Logistics, Brigadier K.P.A. Jayasekara, Director Training and Colonel Mohammed Rajil Irshad Khan, Defence Attaché at Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka also attended the meeting.
