Troops of the 14 Division under command to the Security Forces- West took steps to distribute a stock of oximeters that had been gifted to the Army Commander among needy families in Athurugiriya, Kotte and Angoda areas on 29 September 2021.
During this donation programme, those oximeters that could measure oxygen levels were donated to needy families who are undergoing self-quarantining at homes on PHIs and medical advice.
A stock of oximeters was received from General Shavendra Silva from various donors for distribution among the most needed.
Major General Sujeewa Senerath Yapa, Commander Security Forces - West gave away necessary directions to the General Officer Commanding OC 14 Division to carry out the distribution programme.
