04 Officers and 69 soldiers of the 57 Division in response to a request of the Blood Bank at Kilinochchi District Hospital volunteered to donate blood on 7 July following arrangements, organized at the Blood Bank premises.
Those troops under the guidance of Major General D.G.S Senerath Yapa, the General Officer Commanding - 57 Division, considering the emergency need of the patients in Kilinochchi donated their blood in this way.
