A three-day medical camp organized by Mannar Area Headquarters during July 12-14 drew a record 2020 patients to receive medical consultations.
The forty-member medical team, dispatched to the area by Wanni Security Forces Headquarters on the instructions of Ministry of Defence and Commander of the Army belonged to the Church of 4th Square Gospel and comprises medical officers, para-medics and assistants from Canada, Australia, USA and Switzerland.
The medical camp at Uyilankulam treated patients with blood pressure, diabetes, fever, chest ailments, skin diseases and almost all other medical problems. They also provided a large stock of drugs to the patients during the medical camp.
The medical camp largely served civilians resident under 215 Brigade during those three days.
