Over 120 troops representing all under command formations of the 62 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) voluntarily donated blood on Tuesday (7) in order to replenish blood stocks in all Wanni hospitals for use of patients in the event of any emergencies.
The project, an initiative of the General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe got underway at Galkulama.
A combined medical team from the Anuradhapura General Hospital and the Padaviya Base Hospital carried out the collection of blood from donors during the project.
The project was launched in view of any urgent requirement of different types of blood categories, platelets and fresh plasma, particularly in the wake of COVID-19 threat and other scheduled surgeries, etc. An Army medical team from the 62 Division’s Main Dressing Station also assisted hospital medical staff, engaged in collecting blood. trace affiliate link | adidas garwen spezial white shoes - New In Shoes for Men
