The outgoing Defence Advisor at the High Commission of India in Colombo, Captain Vikas Sood on Monday (16 Oct) extended his courtesies to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu at the Army Headquarters before his return to India after completion of his tenure in Sri Lanka (2020 - 2023).
During the brief cordial meeting, both of them exchanged views on matters of general interest in the region and ever-growing bilateral relations between both military organizations.
Captain Vikas Sood also expressed his gratitude to the Sri Lanka Army for all the support he received during his tenure and wished the Sri Lanka Army all the best in its future endeavours.
Towards the end of interactions, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army, appreciative of his relations and goodwill during the outgoing Defence Advisor’s service presented a memento to India’s Defence Advisor, Captain Vikas Sood as a token of appreciation.
