Outgoing GOC, Engineer Division Saluted at its HQ

TThe outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Engineer Division, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, was saluted in accordance with military traditions on 07 June at the Engineer Division HQ at Mattegoda premises during a formal farewell ceremony, held.

A Guard Turnout at the entrance on his arrival at the Engineer Division HQ saluted him before he was invited to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour, presented at the Engineer Division parade square. He was also invited to pose for a group photo as a symbol of memory.

After a while, he addressed the troops and appreciated the contribution given to him by all ranks during his tenure. He stated the importance of continuous military training for operational readiness specially in the fields of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) and urged them to continue their commitment in the same spirit for the betterment of the organization.

An All Rank tea brought the formal farewell ceremony to an end.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
