Troops at the Directorate of Rehabilitation in Wattala saluted their outgoing Director General, Major General Shiran Abeysekara presenting military honours on Friday (30).
A Guard Turnout on arrival and a subsequent salute in a Guard of Honour presented by troops saluted him in acciordance with military traditions.
After military formalities, Major General Shiran Abeysekara addressed the troops and joined an all rank tea, adhering to strict health guidelines.
Officers of the Directorate and few other ranks attended the event.
Major General Shiran Abeysekera has now been appointed as Director General Financial Management - Army Headquarters.
