In accordance with military traditions and customs, the former Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army, Major General Wasantha Madola was honoured in a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honor during a formal military farewell, held at Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 24 September 2021. Farewell proceedings saw the outgoing Senior Officer after review of the parade took the salute of SLCMP troops.
An all rank tea arrangement at the Officers' Mess culminated the day's proceedings.
Commander Forward Maintenance Area-Mullaitivu and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Brigadier Anil Illangakoon, few Senior Officers, Officers and a cross section of Other Ranks participated in the programme adhering strictly to COVID- 19 preventive guidelines.
