Commodore M.D Shafiul Bari (ND) psc BN Defence Attaché in the High Commission of Bangladesh for Sri Lanka paid his courtesy farewell call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu at his office in the Army Headquarters on Friday (22) morning.
The outgoing envoy during the cordial meeting expressed his gratitude to the Commander of the Army for the cooperation and goodwill, extended during his tenure in Sri Lanka and thanked the Army for its sound understanding and brotherhood.
They also recalled longstanding relations between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and underlined the importance of further cementing such bonds of goodwill and ties.
The meeting culminated with the exchange of mementos.
