Our Lady of Madhu Arrives at St. Antony's Church in Jaffna

The procession of the statue of Our Lady of Madhu across the parishes of the Jaffna Peninsula, running from 06 to 30 April 2024, recently reached St. Antony’s Church in Urany after progressing around Palaly.

During this event, Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Force - Jaffna, visited the church and joined devotees in welcoming the revered statue. Additionally, 300 Army personnel, along with Catholic devotees, lined either side of the designated road at Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna, extending a warm and respectful reception to Our Lady of Madhu.

Accompanied by Rev. Father Eugene Francis and other priests, the Commander participated in traditional rituals and invoked spiritual blessings, along with Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and thousands of devotees.
