Only Two Positive Cases in Past 24 Hours - NOCPCO

The Sri Lankan Airlines Flight UL 504 from London will arrive in Colombo today (10) with 7 Sri Lankans, a statement issued this morning (10) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

61 more individuals upon completion of quarantine process at Diyathalawa Army hospital (15) and Club Hotel Dolphin (46) Quarantine Centres are ready to leave for their homes today (10) after conduct of PCR tests and receipt of Quarantine Certificates.

By today (10), a total of 12,452 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

As of now, 5,118 persons are still in quarantine in 42 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.

By 6.00 a.m today (10), only 2 COVID-19 positive cases were reported, one arrived from Qatar and the other a heroic sailor. Furthermore, 51 heroic sailors were discharged from hospitals after full recovery.

By today (10), heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 858 in total. Of them, 591 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals.
