One more awareness programme on 'Moral Development', as part of the ongoing educative projects of the Directorate of Psychological Operations, got underway at the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) auditorium, Colombo on Wednesday (21).
A total of 159 Army personnel including 2 Officers of the SLEME participated in the awareness programme, in which several relevant topics, such as ‘Violence against Women’, ‘Drug and Alchol Addiction’ ‘Legal Aspects’, etc were taken up for discussion.
Major U.P Mallawarachchi and Lieutenant H.G.N Deshapriya from Directorate of Preventive Medicine & Mental Health Services conducted those lectures. Captain R.M.J Ranathunga of Directorate of Legal and Mr Ajith Nawagamuwa, Senior Programme Coordinator from Alcohol & Drug Information Center (ADIC) also assisted the conduct of those lectures.
