One more New House Handed Over to Army Soldier

As part of the ongoing housing project of the Army, a new house built by 3 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), 8 SLNG, 18 SLNG and 24 SLNG troops under the Security Forces - East (SF-E) was symbolically handed over to the Private (Retired) D. L Samarasundara, 9 SLNG with five children by the President Maithripala Sirisena at the invitation of Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army on Monday (18).

The new house, valued at 1.5 million was built on a plot of land provided by the beneficiary. Sri Lanka Army troops built the house providing their labour and technical expertise.

President Maithripala Sirisena during the house worming ceremony at Polonnaruwa this morning ceremonially handed over the keys to the recipient wishing him good luck.

Army troops have provided the technical support for construction of this house.

Major General K.M.U Wijeratne, Commander, SF-E, several senior officers, other ranks and large gathering of invitees attended the occasion.
