The financial assistance, provided by the Kataragama Devalaya management enabled troops of 23 Gajaba Regiment under command to 122 Brigade, of the 12 Division of the security Force HQ-Central to build one more new home to the deserving family of Mr K M Jayashantha Premakumara, resident in Wedasitikanda Temple Road in Kataragama.
Major General Presanna Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division participating in the warming ceremony delivered the keys to the new house amidst religious rites and rituals in the presence of donors on 30 November. The occasion was blessed by members of the Maha Sangha.
The brief warming ceremony, attended by 122 Brigade Commander, Brigadier Janaka Pallekumbura saw some household items were also gifted to the needy family at the same occasion.
General Officer Commanding of the 12 Division Major General Presanna Ranawaka, Brigade Commander of the 122 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Janaka Pallekumbura and several others attended the warming ceremony.
