One more workshop on 'counselling' to help students sitting the forthcoming G.C. E (O/L) examination in the general area of Pooneryn was arranged by the 66 Division HQ in close cooperation with the 661 Brigade and 5 (V) Mechanized Infantry Regiment troops on Tuesday (08) at Pooneryn Central College.
The useful workshop with 31 student candidates got underway on the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 66 Division, Major General Jagath Kodituwakku and under the supervision of the Commander, 661 Brigade, Brigadier Shantha Hewage.
This workshop was administered by Mr Makeepan, former ONUR (Office for National Unity and Reconciliation) coordinator of the Killinochchi District, Mrs Gilberd Vanceline, a Diploma holder for training, Mrs S. Shanthakala, a Diploma holder in Counselling and Miss R. Kethuja, a graduate. They actively contributed to the training workshop as resource personnel.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the principal and teachers along with the students extended their gratitude to the Army for the initiative.
