MULLAITTIVU: INFORMATION provided by an informant in custody led the troops to recover one more 130 mm artillery gun from UDAYARKATTU area on Friday (10).
As in many other instances, the gun and its accessories including wheels were found buried during a search operation in the area.
All parts had been safely packed by the LTTE terrorists in an iron box of 43 ft in length, 4 ft in width and 2 ½ ft in height making it usable on later occasions if chances were found.
Further search operations in the area are still on.
