Officers Listen to Lectures on SLSR - Officers' Training Day

The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) Officers' Training Day attended by more than hundred Officers was held at SLSR HQ Ambepussa on Friday (28 July).

The training day included the lectures, recreations, etc followed by the ‘Diners' Club’ event at the Regimental Officers’ Mess. Prof Raj Somadewa and Dr Sanath de Silva participated as guest speakers in the event. During the ‘Diners' Club’ event, guest speakers, enlightened the Officers on the subject of “Emerging Strategic Competition in the Indian Ocean” and ‘History of the Sri Lankan Heritage’.

At the end of the ‘Diners' Club’ event, Major General G.R.R.P Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu, Quarter Master General of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment of SLSR, together with Brigadier C.S Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant of the SLSR Regimental Center presented mementos to the guest speakers as tokens of appreciation.

Senior Officers, Staff Officers and SLSR Officers participated in the occasion.
