Buttala-based Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) attaching great importance to 'Poson' day contributed to its commemoration by illuminating the compound and erecting a replica of the Mihintalaya rock which recalls the arrival of the Arahant 'Mihindu' in Sri Lanka centuries ago.
To be in parallel with the state Poson commemoration, themed on 'Health is the Greatest Wealth’, the OCDC commemorated the event giving the prioritized attention to health precautions and social distancing practices. Inauguration of decorations and the replica took place in the presence of a few Officers and Other Ranks as dusk fell.
The day’s proceedings culminated with preaching of a Dhamma sermon by a buddhist monk inside the camp temple, ‘PrangnaVihara’. Major General Jayanath Jayaweera, Commandant, OCDC has given instructions for those arrangements. trace affiliate link | Nike Shoes
