Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake on Thursday (13) thankfully acknowledged a financial grant of Rs 3 million from the National Savings Bank (NSB) towards the promotion of welfare projects in the Army.
Ms W.A Nalani, Chairperson, National Savings Bank, accompanied by Mr Dammika Perera, Acting General Manager (NSB), Mr Jagath Gamanayake, Deputy General Manager, Branch Operations and Marketing, handed over the cheque to that effect after meeting the Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters.
Brigadier Ajith Rupasinghe, Director, Army Benevolent Fund was also present at the occasion.
