Troops of the 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) in Vavuniya gave away parcels of stationery to school children in 652 Brigade area on Monday (18).
The General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, Commander, 652 Brigade and several Senior Officers joined the distribution of those essentials.
The main financial contribution for this event was provided by Mr Sudarshana Jayathilake in liaison with the General Staff Officer 1 (Ops) at 65 Division.
General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, General Staff Officer 1 (Ops), Civil Affairs Officer of 65 Division, Commanding Officer, 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Civil Affairs Officer, 652 Brigade and troops of the 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry participated in the programme.
