Troops of the 11 Division under command to the Security Force HQ-Central coordinated the donation of dry ration packs among 150 needy families in Kundasale area on Sunday (11) after inviting them to the Maha Vihara premises in Kundasale.
These dry ration packs that would help them relieve their economic hardships during the pandemic were received from a philanthropist, connected to the General Officer Commanding 11 Division, Major General Kithsiri Liyanage who conceived the notion of assisting them with relief packs.
The packs included rice, dhal, biscuits, dry fish, milk powder, etc. General Officer Commanding 11 Division Major General Kithsiri Liyanage attended the distribution ceremony with several Officers.
The event got underway adhering to strict health guidelines.
