North Western Province War Heroes with Permanent Injuries to Seek Relief at New 'Abimansala-3'

"For greater good of our dependent War Heroes whose sacrifices are unmatched, the third ‘Abimansala - 3', wellness resort should be ready in a couple of days, enabling about 50 – 55 disable ones from the North Western Province to begin living there", the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake told the workforce on the site at Pangolla, Kurunegala Saturday (15) evening when the former visited there.

Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army, together with several senior officers with a view to taking an update on its final touches, went to Pangolla and met all those, busy completing the project.

A progress review meeting that took place, headed by the visiting Commander of the Army, at the construction site, revealed that the work, related to main constructions, is now complete and set to be opened, having given final touches.

The Commander during the review inquired into the ecological impact and wanted to know problems and challenges associated with the remainder of the project.

Lieutenant General Ratnayake wanted the entire complex with villas and cottages be furnished with the best quality furniture, the meeting was told.

‘Abimansala-3’ expects to house about 50-55 dependent War Heroes of the North Western Province once the project, is complete with facilities, also made available to their next of kin on visiting basis.

Several senior officers, including the Seva Vanitha Army Unit, responsible for collection of funds via ‘Brave Hearts’ project, were associated with the Commander’s progress finding tour to Pangolla.
