NOCPCO Updates Its Statistics

A total of 286 individuals who underwent quarantining at Army-managed Punani (101), Kandakadu (36), Katukeliyawa (31), Navy-managed Sampur (98) and Oluvil (20) Quarantine Centres after conduct of PCR tests on them left for their residences today (8) with Quarantine Certificates, a media statement issued by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

By today (8), a total of 5728 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed Quarantine Centres (QC) have left for their homes. As of now, 4931 persons are still in quarantine in island-wide 39 QCs, run by tri services.

By today (8), heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stood at 390 in total, most who were infected inside the camp. (308 inside the camp and 82 outside), the statement ended.
