Newly-Promoted Senior Officer Gets His Insignia from Army Chief

Major General RADS Shantha Ranaweera RWP RSP USP psc of the Gajaba Regiment, Overall Security Coordinator of the Army Headquarters, who just was promoted to the rank of a two-star General had the privilege of receiving his insignia and the General’s sword from the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage this morning (13) at the Army Headquarters.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage during the interaction expressed his happiness and congratulated him on the prestigious two-star rank promotion while recalling the Senior Officer's loyal and dedicated service to the nation for more than three decades.

The Senior Officer served as the Director Operations and Director Overseas Operations before he took over responsibilities as the Overall Security Coordinator of the Army HQ.
