The newly promoted Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, General Officer Commanding 59 Division was awarded a military salute on Monday (16) in accordance with Military formalities at Mullaittivu 59 Division Headquarters.
1st Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops of the 59 Division saluted in a parade after he entered the premises.
A few minutes later he planted a mango sapling in the compound and addressed the troops.
