52 Division troops of the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna welcomed their newly-promoted General Officer Commanding, Major General Kithsiri Liyanage at the Divisional Headquarters in Mirusuvil when he arrived there on Thursday (05).
A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour in accordance with military traditions saluted him at the HQ premises in Mirusuvil after his arrival there soon after the promotion.
The newly-promoted GOC planted a sapling in the premises to mark the day and joined an all rank tea afterwards.
