Assisted and facilitated by the Army troops serving the 64 Division, Millennium Information Technology (MIT) and HABITAT non-governmental agencies completed the construction of 51 more new houses in Oddusudan AGA Division.
Those houses were distributed among resettled people after a careful selection in co-operation with the Divisional Secretariat.
The ceremony for distribution was attended by Brigadier H.W.M.S.D.B. Pananwala, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 64 Division, Brigadier K.J. Wijethilaka, GOC, 68 Division, Brigadier G.R.H. Dais, GOC, 59 Division, Brigadier T.J. Nanayakkara, Brigadier General Staff, Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), MR. Tony Weerasinghe, CEO MIT, Mr. Tony Senevirathna, National Director, HABITAT, Mr. Thiresh Kumar, Assistance Government Agent, Oddusuddan, Mrs Malani Weniton, Zonal Director For Education, Thunukkai and Inspector of Police, Mr D.M.P. Bandara, OIC, Oddusudan Police.
