Brigadier Senaka Dassanayake assumed office as the 3rd Commandant of Ranaviru Apparels (RVAPL) amid religious blessings last Tuesday (02) in a simple ceremony, held at RVAPL Headquarters, Yakkala.
The day’s programme commenced after Brigadier Senaka Dassanayake was warmly welcomed by Colonel Kapila Ranaweera , Deputy Commandant on arrival at the premises.
Afterwards, the newly-appointed Commandant was honoured at a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the RVAPL.
The newly-appointed Commandant afterwards signed a formal document to signify the acceptance of the new office.
The newly-appointed Commandant, Brigadier Senaka Dassanayake succeeded Col Leslie Wijesundara.
A formal tea party brought the occasion to an end.
Several key appointment holders including Deputy Commandant, Factory Managers at Yakkala and Alawwa Factories, Production Planning and Work Study Manager, Human Resource Manager and other ranks serving the RVAPL attended the occasion.
