Newly Appointed 56 Infantry Division’s GOC Takes Over Duties

Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, assumed duties as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 56 Infantry Division, amid religious blessings and military formalities at the 56 Infantry Division Headquarters in Kokeliya, Vavuniya on 14 February 2024.

The newly appointed General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by the Staff Officers in the 56 Infantry Division Headquarters according him with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour.

Aftermath the GOC marked the acceptance of duties as General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division placing signature for an official document. Subsequently, he addressed all Officers and Other Ranks where he expressed his future vision for the development of 56 Infantry Division.

Deputy General Officer Commanding, all Brigade Commanders, Colonel General Staff, Colonel Admin and Quartering of 56 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers of under command formations of 56 Infantry Division and Other Ranks also participated in the simple ceremony.
