Newly Appointed 24 Infantry Division GOC Assumes the Duties

Major General W.L.A.C Perera RWP RSP USP assumed duties in a solemn yet ceremonious event, as the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division on 25 April 2024 amidst the religious blessings.

The proceedings commenced according a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honor to the General Officer Commanding. Then after, he appeared in a group photograph and planted a sapling in the 24 Infantry Division compound marking his duty assumption in new appoinment.

Addressing the troops, the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division emphasized the importance of professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence before he participated in all ranks tea.

In addition, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division inspected the Deegawapiya Stupa Restoration Project.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the Divisional Area attended the event.
