Troops of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) conducted their Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival at the SFHQ-W grounds on Saturday (25) on a grand scale.
Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W graced the cheerful event as the Chief Guest where many varieties of traditional games and fun-making features, added excitement and interest to the spectators.
General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, senior officers and a large gathering of Other Ranks enjoyed the day’s event.
In the meantime Major General Boniface Perera declared open the Corporals’ Club at SFHQ-W premises on the same day during a brief ceremony.
