Troops of the 552 Brigade, like Army-organized other New Year festivals, conducted their own Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival at Iyyakachchi junction grounds on Sunday (26) on a grand scale.
Brigadier D.A.P.N. Dematanpitiya, Commander, 552 Brigade graced the joyous event as the Chief Guest. The SFHQ-J has given its support to the arrangement.
The event included many varieties of traditional games and fun-making features, adding glamour and interest to the occasion.
Commander, 553 Brigade, Colonel General Staff, 55 Division, Officer-In-Charge, Palai Police Station, several distinguished guests, Officers and other rankers participated in the event.
