New Welfare Shop at Diyatalawa Opened

Considering the importance of supplying subsidized food items, Sanitary Items , etc to both Army and civil personnel in the Diyatalawa area, the 17 Engineer Service Regiment (17 ESR) renovated its ‘Central Super’ Army Welfare Shop’ as old building.

It was opened in a simple ceremony by Major General Vikum Liyanage, Commander, Security force HQ -Central on Wednesday (29). The new welfare shop supplies all food commodities and essentials at concessionary rates and remains open till late in the evening.

The opening event was attended by senior officers and other ranks of Security force HQ -Central.
