New Wanni Commander Familiarizes with Troops under SFHQ - Wanni

The recently-appointed Commander Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W) Major General Priyantha Perera visited the 62 Division and its under command Brigades and Battalions on Saturday (7) after assumption of duties as the 21st Commander, Security Forces of the SFHQ - W.

In keeping with military formalities, the visiting Commander was honoured in a Guard Turnout at the HQ 62 Division entrance and was afterwards invited to address the troops. General Officer Commanding, 62 Division Major General Samantha Silva conducted a presentation on operational deployment role and tasks of the 62 Division to the visiting Commander.

His formal visits covered HQ 621,622 and 623 Brigades and 11 Gamunu Watch (GW), 14 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and 9 Gajaba Regiment (GR) camps.
