Ms Michele J. Sison, the newly appointed US Ambassador for Sri Lanka during her recent maiden visit to Kilinochchi area met Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN).
Ms Sison, during the meeting at SFHQ-KLN received an update on various community oriented development projects, being carried out by the Army in the area. To signify the meeting, an exchange of mementos between the visiting ambassador and the Kilinochchi Commander took place soon after the end of discussions.
The US Ambassador’s retinue comprised a few more US officials.
