New SLAWC Recruits Pass Out

The Passing out Parade (PoP) of 87 recruits of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) who followed the 9th SLAWC Recruit Training Course took place recently at the 3 (V) SLAWC Training School, Sandunpura, Dehiaththakandiya.

Colonel M.P.P Perera, Senior Volunteer Coordinator, Security Force Headquarters – East (SFHQ-E) as the Chief Guest, received the salute of the graduates who passed out during the PoP ceremony after three-month long training.

Special merit awards were awarded to following categories of graduate under different fields of excellence on the same occasion.

Shooting, Best Parade Commander, Best All Rounder and a few more fields were thus awarded in the ceremony that took place at Dehiaththakandiya.
