Brigadier G.A Munasinghe RSP ato assumed duties as the new Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) at the SLAOC Regimental Headquarters, at Dombagoda on Wednesday (7).
On his arrival, Colonel K.M.A.W.K Perera AATO, Centre Commandant SLAOC warmly welcomed the new Colonel Commandant at the main entrance. A Guard Turnout was accorded by SLAOC troops on his arrival before he paid a floral tribute to the memory of fallen SLAOC War Heroes at the SLAOC monument.
Afterwards, he was invited to plant a sapling and sit for a group photograph as memories of the day.
He marked assumption of new office after placing his signature in a formal document in the presence of Regimental staff to signify the acceptance of the duties and responsibilities in the new appointment.
The day’s proceedings concluded with an All Rank tea followed by the troop address. In his speech he emphasized the importance of dedication and how organizational goals can be achieved by working as a group.
