New QMG of the Army Headquarters Takes over Duties

Major General Shantha Hewawitharana on Tuesday (29) took over duties as the 26th Quarter Master General (QMG) of the Quarter Master General Branch at the Army Headquarters, in addition to his present office as Director General Military Intelligence and Colonel of the Regiment of Military Intelligence Corps (MIC).

The newly-appointed QMG signed an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office amid religious observances.
